Friday night was pretty darn unforgettable (thanks in large part to Emily Dubner and Baking for Good)! Here’s what unfolded:

Nicki and Roni go for ultrasound on Thursday. Doctor determines gender, writes it down on a piece of a paper in a sealed envelope. Roni delivers sealed envelope (because Nicki can’t be trusted) to Baking for Good founder, Emily Dubner. Emily opens envelope privately to reveal gender, and BFG makes insanely adorable cookies accordingly (blue for boy, pink for girl). Nicki picks up sealed box of cookies the next day—she has been trusted to transport them all the way to Brooklyn without peeking; she determines that this is the biggest challenge of her life. Nicki feels sick with excitement and has no recollection of her commute home. Nicki enters apartment and demands that she and Roni open the box immediately, or she just might pass out. Roni and Nicki open the box together, ecstatic with what they find. IT’S A GIRL! Nicki cries tears of joy, hyperventilates, and makes a scene; Roni wishes he filmed her reaction. 

Thank you endlessly to the ever-fabulous Baking for Good for being such an integral part of the big reveal. The treats are beyond perfect—I mean, peanut butter sandwiches with pink bows?! We couldn’t possibly be more grateful.
