at the ny art book fair on sunday i had the opportunity to see contemporary artist terrence koh in the flesh, but perhaps even cooler was meeting the guys that started ‘the thing quarterly.’
basically, you pay them $140 for a year of four surprises- limited edition objects incorporating text in some form and created by somewhat famous artists. the sheer fact that miranda july created the inaugural piece (the shade above) proves how effortlessly awesome this concept is.
