Dia’s next major event features a twice-in-a-lifetime performance by artist Robert Whitman, so to generate some buzz, I devised an old-school-meets-new-school marketing campaign, combining wheat-pasting with QR codes.
The incredible—and stealth—guys behind the Supreme campaigns took to the streets last night and blasted Lower Manhattan with our posters, and now it’s up to you to partake in our contemporary art scavenger hunt! The first 25 to find the posters (there are over 500 located throughout Chelsea) and scan the QR code win a free limited edition poster signed by the artist! Go forth and find!
